Speaker 1:

Thank you and welcome to another episode of the Carolina Utaku Podcast. I am Afro and I am here with my co-host.

Speaker 2:

Maxine.

Speaker 1:

Welcome back, guys. I can't even sound very enthusiastic, but you know, welcome back. You know you guys know how we start these shits off, man, you know what we've been up to since the last time we talked and we kind of just go through some updated topics or funny shit that I mostly see online and we just talk about it. You know how it is. So, lexi, what you been up to since the last time we talked not a damn thing you've been on the streaming shit a lot more though.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Nothing special.

Speaker 1:

Are you playing the same game or is it just different ones?

Speaker 2:

No, I've been playing Diablo a lot since the new season started.

Speaker 1:

How is it?

Speaker 2:

Pretty good. I got power leveled the other day and I'm like, I think, level 74.

Speaker 1:

Is this your same character that you made when you first started?

Speaker 2:

No.

Speaker 1:

No, it's a seasonal character yeah. Oh, okay, gotcha, gotcha. Okay, that's what's up. Did you buy anything during that Steam sale?

Speaker 2:

yeah, I bought like a few games during that sale same.

Speaker 1:

I bought one because that's what budget had me do and it's two dollars. It was two dollar um half-life good choice good choice.

Speaker 1:

I remember I played it years ago. I remember my uncle playing it and I mean it's made by Valve and for it it's good. I mean they still have like online service going and people just going around just killing each other. Just crazy shit. Like it's crazy. People are still playing it. Um, so yeah, we're playing Half-Life mostly. Uh, downloaded Division 2 again, getting back into that shit of course um, is this something else?

Speaker 1:

no, I think that's it. You know a lot of rain where I live. It's flooding in certain areas and stuff. Um, crazy car accidents and people thinking that a four-wheel sedan can make it over a you know huge puddle of water and don't understand that as soon as your tires go and it's not touching anything, that motherfucker is a boat.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

It's crazy, but the rain has been crazy of it. It's been wild.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're bringing a lot of thunderstorms down here. And what day was that? Like Thursday. It was so bad it like knocked the power out for like three hours. Yeah, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

It was bad. My sister came up this past weekend. She came to visit some friends and go to a birthday party and shit Brought her dog. Her little Watson is his name oh don't know it ain't no all.

Speaker 1:

And I know, I know she listened to this, I know she watched this shit. So the first time watson met sunny, right, little short dog won't get any bigger. Sunny's like towering over this dog, right? So first time the dog is a male, he's fixed everything. He's sniffing and it was the first time he met him. My mom was here too with her dog. So he's sniffing sunny, you know nose and everything. He's looking up and he goes around that backside.

Speaker 1:

Let me me tell you something. Can you believe this motherfucker tried to mount her quick, his little short legs. He was, yo crazy. I was like get the fuck off my dog. I was like Tyler, get your fucking dog. Like little short little thing, like the motherfucker from Friday after next. You know what I mean. Like crazy, fuck off my dog. Man, poor sonny Can't even fucking reach. So it was crazy. He was doing the same thing to my mom's dog. My mom's dog is an older dog, she's old, right.

Speaker 1:

I'm just like, oh my gosh, this, this, this, this, this male dog has no damn manners. You know these are fucking ladies jesus. He's a fucking ladies man. Like come on, get you. Like clean it up, clean it up, but nah, he's cool, nice, nice little dog, not, he doesn't do anything crazy or nothing like that at all. Um, so yeah, she came down, you know, spent some time together, chilled out and shit like that. Um, but that's about it, though. That's about it from my side. Um, so you know, I see stuff online, you guys, we go through it and stuff. There's a couple things, though, before we get into that, that I do want to talk about. Uh, first thing is I kind of sent you a message about we don't want to go into crazy detail about it but that whole movement of the uh, what is it called the game, that game movement?

Speaker 2:

oh yeah, I was telling you about yeah uh, and how, if I'm not mistaken, where?

Speaker 1:

basically, when a game, when a game manufacturer says, ok, we're going to stop, you know, giving service to this game, they kind of just take it all away from the user. And what people are fighting against is I paid for this game, I still want to play this game, so this should be a offline mode, so I'm still able to play this. Some people are against that, some people are with it. Of course, the big game developers are totally against that and people come up with excuses like but what about the developers? You got to think about them and it's like I get that I do because they work, they get paid for the games that they make and they bring to the people and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

But some people love playing just old shit. And I also wonder if this was one of the big like scares that people had when everything was going digital and not physical anymore. Was that, once it becomes digital, that means that the man like the Sony's and the Xbox's and stuff, they have all the power to say you can't have this shit no more. So you have to deal with the shit that we say, uh, I don't know, we might get a lot of people respond to that.

Speaker 2:

Who knows, but uh like yeah, what, that is just like we paid for the game, paid our hard-earned money, and now you got games like going up in cost, like now they're 70 dollars, which okay, yeah, there hasn't been a price increase forever, whatever, cool. But like the point is that we still paid money for this particular game there and then we can't use it, so we basically are just like flushing money down the toilet for these, for these companies to be like, oh too bad, so sad, right, I get eric gonna be like that's why you buy physical media. But even then, like if you take the service offline with physical media, like buying something that you can't even play even if it is, it's in the physical format. And so, yeah, you do have some game that like fans will go and like make private servers and bring them back online, but like really, we shouldn't necessarily have to to do that yeah you know to play a game that we paid

Speaker 1:

for because I think diablo, I think people do. People still play old Diablos.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it's like, if I'm not mistaken and could be totally wrong, it's like if you know that people still like playing Halo 2 and I remember seeing a video when those servers went down and stuff like that. I remember that shit it was. It was sad, motherfuckers were like in a game playing and it just done. Everybody was kicked out, kind of like the whole same. The shit was like the old Xbox Live on a 360 and shit and it just everything just disappears. But you're right, you pay for this game. Yes, you can buy a physical copy. It would be better to buy a physical copy than having a digital, but sometimes just having that digital is just more convenient. You know? Um, I hate, we talk about steam decks all the time, but I can't. I can't play physical copies on my Steam deck, especially if I want to be on the go. So I get the reason for the digital and stuff like that. It's definitely a purpose. But you know what they're fighting for. I kind of believe in and stuff like that. And there's just one dude what his name? Pirate software or something like that. Some YouTuber who's this one dude? What is his name? Pirate software or something like that. Some YouTuber who's like totally against it. Some dude who he worked at Blizzard and so did his dad, supposedly. He says that a lot. Oh yeah, I worked at Blizzard and, uh, my dad did too. You know, he has like this deep voice shit. Um, so, yeah, that's one thing.

Speaker 1:

Uh, another thing superman movie came out heard it was really fucking good. I heard a lot of people liked it. Um, love seeing mr. Uh, terrific in that bitch loves. I don't know the name of the person that played him, but I'm so happy. He's the person that jumped from Marvel to DC. He played in X-Men, I think First Class or something like that, and he was the only black guy on that shit and he died immediately. He died like immediately. I think Kevin Bacon like put some shit into his mouth and made his whole body turn into like some type of like stone or like some type of shit gone, had a really cool power and he said you know what? I love the superhero shit. I'm gonna go to DC and supposedly he did really good. It's been terrific.

Speaker 2:

So that's dope, I like seeing that that's the reverse of what we talked about last week.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no right. So do you think? I think James Gunn does really good with, like comic book movies and stuff like that, because he really gets into it. So I know that Hawkgirl's in there, mr Terrific, it's a it. I wonder if this is going to be the like the movie that gets DC like Up there. This is going to be it, and then from here we can grow and build and not make shitty-ass, corny-ass movies.

Speaker 2:

We don't have to be like Marvel.

Speaker 1:

What is that?

Speaker 2:

Only time will tell. With that one, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we don't have to be like Marvel, but we can have our own shit. We do great on that. Dc does great on the animation side they always have but when it comes to those movies, oh my god Boy, it's two different worlds. It's like how do you do that? How do you make this great?

Speaker 1:

animated series, but do you make these shitty ass movies? It's crazy to me, crazy, um, and was there something else? I'm trying to think, oh, I'm gonna talk about this, I have a job now, but this is gonna be really cynical, okay, so I I can't really say where I work, but it's just, I don't know, man, it's, it's, it's always. It's that saying of like people say well, at least you got a job. I hate that shit, but love that shit, but I really hate it. Always. It's that saying of like people say well, at least you got a job. I hate that shit, but love that shit, but I really hate it because it's like well, at least you got a job, yeah, but it's OK. You know, like I've never been in a job where I was like, yeah, this is like it, this is, this, is it. But then, when you're in tech, can you actually really say that nowadays? Can you actually really say, yes, this is where I want it to be, this is the job that I want to do to retirement? You can't say that shit.

Speaker 2:

Not right now, in the current state of things. No, because, like you can say that, like I've heard so many people oh my God Working at X, y and Z company.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's been on my bucket list and then you turn around like nine you know anywhere from nine to like Three years later and they're no longer working there because they got laid off or something egregious happened and now they're not working at that particular company. I think in tech it's like take that like that high moment and enjoy it, but always be on that pivot for the next, the next thing, because you never know when it's your time to be on that chopping block. So like that's why we always have to constantly upscale and like learn new stuff and, you know, try to learn the next best thing before it becomes a big trend in tech.

Speaker 1:

like yeah yeah we, we know where it's going. We know that a lot of companies that lay off people have been saying, oh, we're doing a lot of reorganization within the company, kind of moving more into an ai type of realm, an AI type of realm, and I hate hearing that shit. I get it. It's not that I'm against AI Trust me, I'm not but we know that machine learning and AI is going to be that future shit and there's nothing that you can really do to get away from it. And it's going to be in every within tech, within the little mini sectors of tech. It's going to be in every fucking one. There are probably some applications that you use right now within your stack that use AI, just in general, and it's just going to be here to stay. Like I hate coding. I hate coding Like. I know some people that love it Drink coffee and just go. I hate coding, right, but I like supporting I like you know being a system admin.

Speaker 1:

I like devops, I love shit like that. Yeah right, um. So when I'm going through and I'm applying to jobs and stuff, I know this is going to sound really bad. You know, when I'm, when I'm applying to jobs and stuff, I know this is going to sound really bad. You know, when I'm when I'm applying to jobs, I watch YouTube videos of people talking about getting laid off. I do. I know that sounds shitty as fuck, but I do that and I. And every time the video ends I'm like I gotta get, I gotta go. I like I gotta get on these shits.

Speaker 1:

And it's to the point where I can't really use linkedin or indeed, or any of that shit anymore, because it's so fucking saturated with people and ghost postings and people giving their two cents and just like if I read another post of a recruiter talking about well, the candidate really wasn't low, he really didn't fit the job, but I gave him that chance and now he just got promoted. Fuck you, I don't care. Like the worst thing, the thing that nobody wants to hear. When they just got laid off, I hate to say this is words of encouragement. It doesn't.

Speaker 1:

Maybe some people need that shit, but most people that get laid off. You do not want to hear a goddamn thing that anybody says I just got laid off from my job. How the fuck am I going to pay my bills? Yes, I get unemployment, but how the hell am I going to pay my bills? Yes, I get unemployment, but how the hell am I going to feed myself or my family? How am I going to pay my bills? Well, you should have some money saved up and if I do, by the time Unemployment you guys is only, I think, six weeks.

Speaker 2:

It's longer than that.

Speaker 1:

What is it?

Speaker 2:

Depends. Is it 12? Depends on the situation, I think I thought it was 12 it might be 12.

Speaker 1:

I have to ask I think it might be 12, so almost about three months worth of like benefits give or take. And it also depends the amount that you get back depends on how much you were making. You're not going to get any more or any less You're going to get. They're going to ask you for check stubs and all that shit and they're going to put that shit into a calculation and say this is how much you need to get a month and it's probably not even going to be like nothing. It's something you know, it's that whole. It's better than nothing, shit.

Speaker 1:

But then you're applying the jobs every day. You get discouraged when you get the emails. You get discouraged when you hear about more layoffs, like IE, microsoft laying off people recently, intel laying off people recently. All these companies, these tech companies, are laying off people. Some people are like well, this happens every year, this is a yearly thing. Well, they're doing it in a at a certain time right now, where you you just think they're just doing it, just to do it.

Speaker 1:

I know that sounds crazy to say, but it's it's. It's crazy how many youtube videos I see of people saying, well, I just got laid off and you can tell that they were crying, I mean sad as hell. Or people like I applied to 200 goddamn uh jobs, didn't get nothing. I think you have people saying, well, you got, it has to be. You gotta do. You have to network more, you gotta put yourself out there, you gotta do all of this stuff to. You know, really, get you get. Your Just put yourself out there. You got to.

Speaker 1:

It's more about networking than it is just filling out an application and kind of just doing that. So it's if you're going through, if you know you're about to get laid off or you're going through a layoff right now, I'm not going to be the person to sit here and tell you that it gets better, because it's probably the last thing that you need to fucking hear right now. Just just keep applying to jobs, man. It's tough, it's it's fucking tough. And that job that you get is probably not going to be the same amount that you were making before. It's not because companies know that they can lowball you, because they know that you're going to be looking for just an income just in general. So you know I'm not the best for words of encouragement like that, but you just got to. You really got to. Just keep going, man, talk to your family, talk to your friends, talk to other people who are going through this shit.

Speaker 2:

And that's about it. Yeah, I know that's depressing as fuck everybody. I'm sorry. Yeah, it is like I've been through it twice. Um, yeah, but I mean it's not always all bad. You know when it does happen. Some people just all bad. You know when it does happen.

Speaker 2:

Some people just they take the time and they really figure out what they want out of their lives and right they, they branch out and they do something. Either they just leave tech all together or they decide to, like go into business for themselves doing something, or they get real serious about maybe a hobby or something that they always wanted to do and start doing that and that becomes their main source of income. I mean, I get it. It's the worst feeling.

Speaker 2:

You're like, fuck, I got bills, I got shit I need to do worth filling. You're like, fuck, I got bills, I got shit I need to do, but don't take that and like dwell in it and sit in it and like you know woe is me and like don't apply and do all that stuff because it's not gonna get you anywhere. Like it's, it's not. Take that time. Figure out what you want and you know if it is working in tech or you know working in another part of tech, then like, start upscaling and you know doing all that stuff to to get you there. If it's something that you maybe want to do, okay, well, maybe, hey, I stream, I want to be a full-time streamer, put the time and the effort into doing that. Or hey say you want to get into content creation, do that. Or like you know whatever it is like, just don't sit there and wallow in that like despair either.

Speaker 1:

So very true. Um, also not me. Being me, I'm look for different opportunities within different stuff, so I wouldn't say just go straight to tech companies. Look within healthcare, look within finance, look within like construction or manufacturing. All of these places need techs, something within that tech realm like it. It's crazy what you expect, but within the top sectors right now that are actually hiring, health care is number one.

Speaker 2:

It's number one is health care because people always going to need health care.

Speaker 1:

Exactly Even like yeah, like I said, manufacturing and stuff like that, construction and all that shit. So you know, kind of think outside the box when it comes to your applying. Just don't go straight for the Googles or the Microsofts and stuff like that. You know, kind of think outside that box and see what you can find. If there are certain car manufacturers that you like, go on their website and see if they're hiring any tech positions, they probably are, especially if they're local in the state that you live in. So yeah, you know you just can't like, like, like she said, you can't sulk and just be. You know, sitting there, the woe is me type shit.

Speaker 1:

It's not gonna do anything. Go outside, touch grass, you know. Just find something else, All right. So, uh, we're going to go into. You know, just stuff that I see online that I think it's funny. Could be true, Could not? It's funny to me. If you have a problem with it, kick rocks, All right. So First thing is and I think every black person that has cousins or a lot of cousins would like this Um yeah, uno is officially being introduced as a table game.

Speaker 2:

No, no that is actually false. They actually came out and said that they're not doing it in vegas, but they are doing it in, like a couple other cities like los angeles not vegas, but atlanta uh yeah, yeah, I just saw it before we got on oh shit, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1:

Well, um, if you think you're good at uno and some motherfuckers really don't know how to play uno by the rules, like no stacking type shit, no cut like colors, numbers, all that shit, nah, niggas. Nah like play that shit by the rules, man, and if you're gonna put money up, make sure you know those fucking rules for real, for real and I don't think it would be like gambling.

Speaker 2:

It's more like they're doing them as like social club type things.

Speaker 1:

They're not oh shit, yeah, no money. Yeah, what if they did that shit with spades? Oh my god hilarious.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god, there'll be so many. I'm very far away from that, anyways.

Speaker 1:

That would be fucking hilarious. Also, I think this is kind of weird. To me, this is really weird. I don't know how I feel about this. I don't know if it's real or not. I don't know if it's true or not, Um what is. Ryan Gosling playing uh uh uh ghost writer. Yeah, it's crazy right. That's crazy right.

Speaker 1:

The dude from La La Land it's, I don't. I don't think it's like like in the works or anything like that. Maybe it's just like a thought, somebody just put it out there. I don't think it's like in the works or anything like that. Maybe it's just like a thought, somebody just put it out there, but I don't know. That's kind of interesting, though. You know what's crazy. If what's his name? John Barinholt, the dude that plays Punisher. If he didn't play Punisher, I think he would have made a nice Ghost Rider, or I'm trying to think of somebody that would actually be good, because the last one was Nicolas Cage. I remember that movie.

Speaker 2:

I do too.

Speaker 1:

I do too. I remember that movie, but it was Nicolas Cage cage, and the thing is, yeah, I mean, I don't know, I don't know. Well, I, if that happens, you know, good for him, but he'll be in the marvel universe, so that's cool, uh, oh yeah, this is a good one too. Um, we got. So I saw this right and I was sitting there and I was like you know what's's crazy? It's only two movies that I would. It's only two of these images that I would actually really like to see in a movie theater If I go Captain Planet and I want to see Gargoyles.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I would see Gargoyles.

Speaker 1:

You wouldn't see Captain Planet.

Speaker 2:

No, I really didn't like him. I'm not see Captain Planet. No, I was not a big. I really didn't like him, not even gonna like him. Nah, I wasn't a big fan of Captain Planet.

Speaker 1:

No way Captain Planet was cool. It was the kid superhero type stuff, so it wasn't anything that was like on some Marvel or DC shit, but I mean I don't know If like on some marvel and dc shit. But I mean I don't know if they did it right and captain planet wasn't. Uh, he was blue. Yeah, he was blue. Okay, he was blue. Yeah, all right, just wanted to make sure they didn't know blackface, something like that. All right, yeah, he was blue. Um sure, they didn't know blackface, something like that. All right, yeah, he was blue. Um, so I would love to see in street sharks, uh, possibly, but I feel like they would. If they were to do that, it would go in that ninja turtle type of type of realm, not animated, but like the live action shit that they did, which did not go well. Um, but I would actually really, really like to see Captain Planet in Gargoyles, for sure, or even if they just redid Gargoyles, the old animated series, and just brought it back. That would be nice to see also.

Speaker 1:

I don't think Captain Planet would fly nowadays? I don't think it would fly. I don't think Captain Planet would fly Nowadays. I don't think it would fly. I don't think so. Earth, wind, water, Like no, that's not going to work, you can just call Storm.

Speaker 2:

Now I'm seeing him thinking about it, though, but it'd be a great time to like bring him back with global warming and oh yeah, that's going on yeah, it'd be like that, yeah, yeah, that's like them also if they were to bring back the magic school bus brah I. I would be so down for that yeah, I think that would be great.

Speaker 1:

I think that would be amazing if they did that like immediately. And also, I've been seeing I've been seeing more previews of King of the Hill. This shit looks really fucking good. I was scared that it wasn't going to be that good, just because whenever they do reboots of shit, it hangs in there for a little bit but then it just disappears. It's only certain shows that do that. Go ahead.

Speaker 2:

No, I was going to say like I didn't think it was going to be bad anyways when they released it, like because it's Ray Judd, yeah, I didn't think it was going to be bad anyways when they released it. Because it's Ray Judd, yeah. When has he failed? I don't know why. I guess I just love all his stuff for some reason. I love Beavis and Butthead, I love King of the Hill and I love Daria, so I knew it was going to be something I was going to watch anyways when they brought it back, but, like I think, the main thing for me is seeing who is going to voice dell?

Speaker 1:

oh I already know who it is. Yeah, but how is he going to sound? He sounds good, okay, I gotta see for myself. Yeah, it's man, I wish.

Speaker 2:

I knew, but then I wish I knew. I don't know his name, fuck. But then you also gotta think like a lot of their voice actors have died like Luann's has died, I think, but um Lucky's and uh, yeah and then now we got John Redcorn. Dale's is gone and like yeah, and I wonder how they're going to play, because you remember cotton had a kid with dd oh, yeah, so like I know that like he's like mentioned a little bit, but like how is that going to play out?

Speaker 2:

it's really minor, but I wonder about that. And then the whole thing between like connie and bobby, like how is that gonna go, or whatever, and there's so much like up in the air, so like when august, I think it's like august 4th when it comes out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm probably gonna binge watch 11 or something like that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah I want to binge watch yeah, it's odd previews make it look really good. I like the way it looks for sure, for sure. Um, and, like you said, the person that is playing dale, I honestly you, probably you might hear maybe a little bit of a difference, but uh, probably not a lot, because it it's, it's really good, it's a really they got a good person to To do his voice, just something really quick, which I didn't think was coming anytime soon, but I thought this was a good series by Marvel. Moon Knight season two is officially happening. Moon Knight sequel is officially in development. Mark and Steven dive into a new mystery that leads straight to Jake Lockley.

Speaker 1:

I loved the first season of Moon Knight. I thought it was fucking great. Actually, it was one of the ones next to Daredevil and stuff. Moon Knight was up there for me. I thought it was one of the ones next to, like Daredevil and stuff. Moon Knight was up there for me. I thought it was a great Season one for sure. Another Marvel thing that is happening, which is kind of strange. I don't know how Marvel picks who they're going to make movies for.

Speaker 1:

I don't know how Marvel picks who they're going to make movies for. I don't know how. This is crazy to me, but whatever, brace yourself, wonder man.

Speaker 2:

Huh.

Speaker 1:

He's going to be getting a series.

Speaker 2:

Okay, on to other things.

Speaker 1:

Huh, is is uh he's going to be getting a series. Okay, on to other things. So I saw something, I saw something on Facebook where somebody was like this is what Disney gives us, but this is what we really want. And it was wonder man is what Disney gives us. And beside it was Wonder man is what Disney gives us and beside it was Luke Cage Like Luke Cage, right. And I was like, oh yeah, I would actually like to see them. You know, bring back Luke Cage right now. I thought I think that would be great.

Speaker 1:

But, yeah, if you're a Wonder man fan, honestly, never heard of this dude until I saw this and did research on him and everything like that. But, um, if you're a fan, if you're into the, you know, wonder man, hey, he's getting a series. So, uh, look out. And also, um, as you can see here, william Randall has something to say Uh, who, this looks like. This looks like the beginning of a sitcom. This, this black man, looks like sitcom, like he's about to go to his family and eat dinner and it's going to be a problem.

Speaker 2:

Like I swear they are becoming late Netflix and giving like they kill off the Netflix and giving like they kill off the good shit yeah. And then, and then want to promote like this terrible ass shit. Yeah, it's just like Netflix, like how they killed off Mindhunter. Oh no, they're supposed to be bringing it back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did see that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You don't believe it.

Speaker 2:

We'll see. I believe it when I see it, because now it's just far too late, because the hype is down and whatever. Anyways, but yeah.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, you're right, you're right. You hit that shit right on a nail. You hit the nail on the head, fuck. There was one other thing that I wanted to talk about, but I remember what it was. I thought I had a screenshot of it, but I don't. But it was that the Demon Slayer movie sold out like very fast in Japan, sold out quick in Japan. I honestly think it's probably going to do the same here, and I think I will actually go to the movie theater to watch it. You know what? No, I'm awake because it it's gonna be on hulu in like a month, so it's gonna be on crunchyroll in like a month. So, uh, it is, it's gonna. It's gonna be on crunchyroll in like a month, dude, you know it's gonna be spoiled like day one, you might as well, just go ahead and go watch it, because you know how the Blerg community is.

Speaker 2:

They're going to spoil it and you're going to be mad, so just go watch it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's going to be. I say like after the premiere showing, you're going to be seeing clips of that shit immediately when you're scrolling on Facebook. It's going to be crazy.

Speaker 2:

And then it will be tick tock me all about it. Yeah, Just just go watch it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, true, true, true, true. Um Jesus man, I man this job, man man. This job man, yo roaches are a thing, y'all Roaches are a thing yo.

Speaker 2:

Like I killed one with a VHS tape like a couple days ago. Why'd you bring that up? Why'd you bring that up? It was crazy.

Speaker 1:

It was crazy Like.

Speaker 2:

I can't wait till you find another job because of the shit that you got to say.

Speaker 1:

It was crazy. I never knew. Look, I'm from Baltimorearyland. I've seen roaches before. I've seen them all the time. These motherfuckers are big. When I say big, I mean like they eat protein powder, like they're big. And I was like, first of all, let's go back to what I said. I killed a roach with a VHS tape, not a DVD. I don't fucking know Goosebumps, I don't fucking know. It's a fucking thing. But I saw it and I said, oh, he just stands there acting like I don't see him. It's like, dude, you're brown on a white wall. And the thing is you just can't kill these things, like you gotta stomp the fuck out of it Because they'll just flip back over and just carry on. Bruh, it's oh man. I've worked at places before. I worked at a cell phone store. I've, you know, fixing phones, I was a school photographer traveling up and down Maryland and shit. But yeah, yeah man the story yeah it's gonna be crazy, crazy, crazy.

Speaker 1:

um, and hold on last thing. Crazy, crazy. And hold on last thing. I don't know if Pokemon we have a lot of Pokemon fans, but the person that played James Meowth and Professor Oak has passed away. James Carter. You know what's crazy when you, when you look at him, you're like, oh yeah, I can see him as the like. You can hear his voice, his face, his voice, his face matches his voice if he's playing those three. Because when you sit here you think about it, you're like, oh shit, all three of those motherfuckers do sound the same, which is crazy. I just when I saw that, I was like, damn, yeah, I guess they are the same character. So, yeah, that's also something there. But, man, jesus.

Speaker 1:

So if you guys have been laid off recently, don't give up on it. Keep going, apply. Think about different routes or routes when it comes to applying. Don't rely on LinkedIn, don't rely on Indeed, just you know. Find other stuff, rewrite your resumes if you have to, and just kind of don't give up on that shit. Like I said, you might have to be doing some shit just so you can have some money in your pocket and pay your bills for a couple months and, who knows, you might find something better. So yeah, man, it's. It's tough out here right now. It is tough for a lot of people right now. You know we're not in a politics podcast, but Jesus Christ dude.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's not go into that.

Speaker 1:

It's tough out here, man, keep your head up. What did you tell me a couple days ago in a text message? And I say you sound like fucking Tupac telling me some shit. Did you say keep your head up. Is that what you said, motherfucker? Yeah, I think I did.

Speaker 2:

I said keep your head up, Fuck you. I did.

Speaker 1:

I said can you go ahead and up? I said fuck you. Oh man, that was crazy. I said what the fuck Wait?

Speaker 2:

it's funny that you bring that up, because just before the podcast I was on Instagram, right, and there was a Fashion Nova men's ad, right.

Speaker 1:

And like yes, they do clothes men's clothes.

Speaker 2:

Yes, they do. Clothes Men's clothes. Yes, yes, but they had this guy that looks like a knockoff Tupac, right, mm-hmm? And I've read in the comments and so was it. Somebody said hi to this. Before Jada sees it, I started laughing.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy. That's crazy. Do you know?

Speaker 2:

like they fell off the face of the earth they're still around.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, they're still around, but you don't hear a lot about them. Especially old will, like they just will still around.

Speaker 2:

He still makes music. He just came out with like a song with him, big sean, like not Not Too Long Girl.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I wonder how that's doing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think he even dropped a whole new album, but like I actually like the song with him and Big Sean, it wasn't bad. It was actually pretty good.

Speaker 1:

Oh really, Speaking of music, Larry June came out with some new shit.

Speaker 2:

And so did.

Speaker 1:

Clip yeah, yeah, you said the Clips.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And yeah, yeah, yeah, you said eclipse, yeah, yeah, and that shit is fire. That shit is great. It is. That clips album is really good, so I would definitely give that a listen. Listen to that larry june shit because it's with, uh, cardo cardo wings. Whenever larry june gets on a cardo beat, you're cruising, you're cruising.

Speaker 2:

I mean, we finally got a Gibby on album after like three years. Thank you, Damn.

Speaker 1:
